The S60 has been around for an awfully long time but, as one of the first un-Volvo Volvos, it has a special place in the product range. And stylist Peter Horbury’s handiwork still looks good. The S60 is sumptuous, strong and safe, offering a choice of five-cylinder engines that accommodate various driver requirements. The base LE sedan employs a 125kW/230Nm 2.4-litre engine driving the front wheels through manual or auto five-speed transmissions. Standard gear includes stability and traction control, dual front and front side airbags, air-conditioning, 16-inch alloys, leather trim, trip computer, power driver’s seat and eight-speaker CD audio.
